Hello!
So this yarn has been out for a good long while BUT, it's turned out to be a staple in my yarn stash so why not blog/ bend your ears about it?
I first came across Hayfield Baby Blossom yarn in a haberdashery shop near me and immediately fell in love with the peach coloured shade of it.
I then went on to make Peaches the octopus using Bella Coco's YouTube tutorial here (this is a link to part one of a two-part series) and she went down an absolute storm. And so I crocheted more octopi in various other shades from this brand after finding out how soft it was being perfect for babies and toddlers.
On top of the feel and colour shade selection I absolutely love the variegated colours that run through each ball. It just makes for a lovely little effect in each of your makes like the above.
I've made other toys with the yarn, two gorgeous little bears that I'm super proud of. The one on the left is Beatrix the bear, she was the second bear I ever made and there are a few mistakes with her, you can tell by the sheer difference to the bear on the right because shockingly they are the same pattern *gasp* I know. Poor little baby Crocheter Leanne, she was so naive. Young Adult Crocheter Leanne has learned the ways, she uses stitch markers and EVERYTHING!
Anyway, these bears were made using a video by Youtuber Sharon Ojala here.
While experimenting with the willow square I made one in every colour I had in my stash. Essentially, anything I make, I have the question in the back of my mind 'which shade of Hayfield Baby Blossom would this look good in?' I joke, but it's ridiculous how many things I've made in this yarn. I think it's the most-loved and squished yarn in my collection.

Last but certainly not least, I made a twelve-point star blanket for a friends baby shower gift using the shade Bluebell with a cream aran yarn and a Youtube tutorial by the wonderful Bella Coco here.

And that's all of my makes using Sirdar's Hayfield Baby Blossom Chunky yarn. If you're not familiar with the yarn then please do check out your local haberdashery or take a look online at Wool Warehouse and various other online shops. I hope it sparks your crojo and you go on a making spree the way I did!
